WORDS BY TARA CAMPBELL
The Temporary Team love live music, and in the previous few weeks there were some pretty amazing new releases in music. Here’s some of our favourites:
Soak into This – Greta Stanley

The young Cairns-based singer is back with another memorable track ‘Soak Into This’. This track has more of a dance-feel, and I can definitely see this track being a massive festival one. Greta Stanley has redefined her sound with this sophisticated and unique track. If you haven’t checked out this Aussie singer’s sound yet, I highly recommend it. From the first lyrics you’ll be transformed into a state of bliss with her exceptional and distinctive vocals.

Red Flag – RAAVE TAPES

A staple in the Newcastle music scene, RAAVE TAPES have once again created a banger, Red Flag’. Unlike anything else in the music industry, the mix between Lindsay and Joab’s voices is what I’d almost describe as The Presets meets Paramore. This track has a different feel to their other releases, but it’s still an exceptional display of just how talented RAAVE TAPES are. Chuck this on repeat on your COVID-19 isolation playlist.

Get Smart – dave (the band)

I’ve been obsessed with this track from the moment it was released. This week we’ve had another killer release from this Newcastle-based band ‘Get Smart’. It’s a short track, that you’ll be humming from the first listen. Somehow, this three-piece band have managed to include all the best elements of music into ‘Get Smart’. It’s definitely the sort of infinite summer rock sound that would definitely be a contender for the Shrek soundtrack (a very high compliment). This is definitely my favourite release of this week.
