SINGLE REVIEW // ‘TV In My Bedroom’ – Loons

WORDS BY EM VIOLET

Indie rock band Loons have just released a new track titled “TV in my Bedroom”. The Newcastle band have been busy when it comes to writing new music as their self titled EP was just released in April this year. They have opened for bands such as The Grogans and The Butlers.
This track starts off with the mellow tones of guitars that are blended with the striking vocals from vocalist Elijah Cairns. The chorus explodes into this pleasant indie sound when the full band comes in and gives more depth to the track.
I had never heard of this band before until this song but I was hooked from the first verse. I can guarantee from your first listen to this track you will have the catchy chorus stuck in your head all day.
Their sound is a combination of indie rock with surf rock undertones which gives you strong summer vibes. “TV in my Bedroom” is a treat from start to finish from the firm rhythm of the drums under the tight guitars riffs that support the distinct vocals.

All in all this track is solid and demonstrates that Loons are an act to look out for in the future. I undoubtedly can’t recommend this track enough. If you haven’t heard of this band, you’re surely missing out.
