SINGLE REVIEW // ‘Crush’ – RACKETT

WORDS BY EM VIOLET

Sydney indie-pop artist RACKETT has just released a brand new track “Crush”. It is a follow up from her previous releases of 2020, “Ily Alley” and “Oxytoxic”. After Rebecca Callander parted with her band-mates, she has since rebranded and created a new sound for RACKETT. The new and improved genre is a blend of electronic dance merged with nostalgic pop. The sound is new and fresh but also gives you throwback 90’s dance vibes which is why this works so well. Its up beat tempo and great lyrics make for the perfect dance track that would be the perfect addition to any playlist. Not only does RACKETT have the ability to create great music but she puts on one hell of a show with her energetic performance and electronic light show.

I have been a fan of RACKETT for the longest time and “Crush” purely demonstrates that no matter what direction this artist goes in, it’s always a good time.
