‘First Contact’ has so many positive things going for it, with the excellent vocals and production making for the some of the best Australian electro-pop music that we’ve heard in 2020.
It’s a banger that people should be playing over the next few months, whether they’re with their friends at the beach, at a pool party over the new year’s period or simply just needing something to lift their mood. I’m keen to see what The Lulu Raes do next, and hopefully catch them at a live show soon.

This past weekend the Civic Theatre played host to a fantastic lineup of Newcastle’s finest bands all thanks to Newcastle Music Collective. It’s a beautiful venue to enjoy live music at, the way the stage lights illuminate the ceiling is grand.
A set that was full of energy, really well performed songs, enjoyably awkward banter between the members, and easily one of the best shows I’ve been to in a while.
